The Scientista Foundation Chapter at UNLV is proud to present Beyond Curie, a celebration of badass women in STEM. Running from 5 - 7:30 p.m. on April 27 in the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, this event of music, prizes, food, and discussion will highlight the work of neuroscientist-turned-graphic designer Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya and her Beyond Curie project, a series of 32 posters dedicated to individual women whose achievements have been fundamental to contemporary scientific development. Phingbodhipakkiya will be present to discuss her work with panelists Dr. Nora Caberoy (Ph.D., Genetics and Cell Biology, Washington State University) and Dr. Rochelle Hines (Ph.D., Neuroscience, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada). The Beyond Curie Exhibit is co-sponsored by the UNLV Office of Undergraduate Research and the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art.
